Singing sensation Rebecca Ferguson wowed a packed restaurant at GUSTO Restaurant and Bar at the prestigious Albert Dock on Friday with an insightful Q&A and a showcase of her latest hit album ‘SUPERWOMAN’.
Guests enjoyed a drink on arrival and three course lunch before sitting back and enjoying some enthralling time with one of the countries most talented artists.
The fantastic afternoon was superbly hosted by The Guide’s Jay Hynd, with assistance from Radio City’s Claire Simmo. Rebecca gave an honest, sometimes emotional, account of her life, background and career to date before
taking to the stage to sing songs from her Album and closing with her hit single ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’
The event was organised by Carolyn Hughes PR in association with Radio City’s charity Cash for Kids and raised £20k.
Rebecca received a standing ovation before Tricia McTeague rounded off the afternoon with a party set of floor filling tunes, ably assisted at one point by the very talented Marcus Collins.
Event organiser, Carolyn Hughes said “We cannot thank Rebecca enough for her generous support today. Despite her phenomenal success and incredible talent she still maintains a deep affection for and loyalty to her home City.
Today would not have been possible had she not fitted us into her very busy schedule. Thanks to, to the adorable Marcus Collins for his input as well. It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by everyone who came along to support it”
