Four partners behind a Liverpool beauty business hosted a celebrity ‘Galentine’s’ event to launch their charitable organisation, supporting women in the city and beyond.
Former schoolfriends Toni Kenny, Laura Tippler, Rebecca Smith and Alex Haake, who run Girl Gang XO salon, transformed Liverpool’s newest glamorous venue, Dash on Victoria Street, for a pink-themed pre-Valentine’s Day ladies’ lunch with celebrity guests including TOWIE’s Amber Turner.
The four have created supportyourglobalgirlgang which they hope will use the positive power of women to help others.
To launch the concept, they hosted the lunch where guests were treated to live music from award-winning R&B band MiC Lowry and X Factor finalist Kiera Weathers, a Sunday lunch, pink Champagne, bespoke pink cupcakes and goodie bags stuffed with beauty treats.
TOWIE’s Amber Turner was joined by Love Island’s Katie Salmon and reality star’s Sallie Axl and Mel Reeves along with Liverpool beauty business owner and influencer Amanda Harrington, as a packed restaurant became the first to supportyourglobalgirlgang.
Toni explained: “When we opened our salon near Aintree in October last year, we had two ambitions: to make Girl Gang XO into a global brand and to launch our own charity which would give something back to help other women, especially those who are vulnerable.
“Now we’re on our way to achieving both. With supportyourglobalgirlgang we want to bring together the talents, energy and enthusiasm of women to really make a difference in people’s lives. The Galentine’s ladies’ lunch is our first event of many planned for this year and we’re proud to have had such great support for it.
“It’s really inspiring to see so many women wanting to do something positive – and having a fabulous fun time doing it. We want supportyourglobalgirlgang to be girl power at its best.”
